The Single Woman’s Dash of Sass: August 30, 2011

Quote of the Day:

“Do you ever find yourself avoiding a difficult situation? Many people today run when things get hard. They run from their problems. They run from responsibility. They run from people they don’t like. They run from the past. They run from anything that makes them uncomfortable. Instead of facing the issue and dealing with it, they look for the path of least resistance, which isn’t the path to victory. If we are going to embrace all that God has for us, we have to learn how to face our challenges head on.” ~Joel Osteen

The Single Woman Says:

Today: Stop running. Stop hiding. Stop sticking your head in the sand. The harder you run from your problems, the harder they chase you. Turn and face difficulties head on today…with your head up, your shoulders back, your face set…and watch as your resolve causes conflict to dissolve. Facing down people and circumstances and fears from your past is the only way to get them to stop chasing you. Stop running…and the past loses its power. It might cause you momentary discomfort, but guess what? You have to experience growing pains if you wanna GROW! Today: It’s time to stop running. Stand firm on God’s promises and invite your troubles to come meet you, knowing that you are stronger than anything that has tried to defeat you.
