I wasn’t feeling particularly inspired today, mainly because I have a lot on my plate right now and about a million things to check off on my to-do list…then I saw this quote. And in an instant, I was inspired. I was inspired because I realized that inspiration doesn’t have to always come in grand “aha!” moments. Some of my greatest bursts of inspiration have happened in the untold moments, the quiet moments, the simple moments. Reading to my niece. Sitting in the sun with a good friend and an ice cream cone. Pausing a moment to feel the rain on my skin instead of running to seek shelter from it. It’s often in the moments that we’re not seeking inspiration that we find it…those moments that might never get written about, because we’re too busy living life to record it. The life-changing, view-altering moments don’t always have to come with confetti and streamers and applause. Sometimes they come with no pomp or circumstance at all…just a quiet smile between two friends, a beam of sunlight hitting your face, or a wish upon a star heard by no one but you. And as Brad Paisley once said: “I live for…little moments…like that.”
