What goes around, comes around. We’ve all heard the cliché a million times…but never have I witnessed the power of this statement more than in the past two years of my life. Since I started The Single Woman, and started sowing positivity into the universe on a daily basis, some of the most amazing, miraculous things have happened in my life. I’ve gotten to go places and meet people and do things that I only ever dreamed about. That’s not to say I haven’t had bad days and down times and heartbreaks as much as the next person, but my life has been overwhelmingly positive…and I know it is because of the work I am doing to make other people’s lives a little better, a little happier, a little more positive. An addendum to the “Golden Rule” would be this: Whatever it is you’re hoping will happen for you…help make it happen for others. When you roll up your sleeves and go to work making the life of someone else better, you’ll be AMAZED at how quickly your own life improves. The same is true in the reverse: If you are spreading negativity and discord and bitterness, you can’t then turn around and ask why your life is so unhappy…why your body is sick…why your dreams are drying up, one by one. Bottom line: You get back what you put out…so if you don’t want it back, don’t send it out! A GREAT example of this principle is Perez Hilton, who two years ago, decided to stop being the “Queen of Mean” and took a kinder, gentler approach with his celebrity blog. Once he STOPPED sowing negativity into the world, his entire life changed, from the inside out.
