June 12, 201313 CommentsThe Three Things I Have Learned to Ask God for When I Enter into a New Relationship (not just romantic, this can apply to relationships of any kind):
1) Please protect my heart
2) Please show me if there’s anything I need to know about this person that I’m not seeing
3) Please remove this relationship from my life if it is not in your will for my life
Three very simple requests; yet I have found that when I pose these prayers to Him sincerely and surrender the situation to Him, God delivers. It’s like a wonderful safety net that allows you to enter into relationships with complete freedom, because you know He’s got you.

Ive never thought to do this but from now on this is something I will for sure do. Ive been hurt many times chose guys that I should have never chose and these were questions I should have asked god but when I was younger god and I were not very close so I doubt id have listened but as ive gotten older this will be very helpfull.

I am currently dating somebody new and he seems to be great. However I feel I have not put God in this enough and now I am starting to see cracks in him emotionally being there for me. I am praying to God these three prayers now, to particularly take him from me if it is not meant to be. Thanks Mandy!
