Dash of Sass: Wait.

WaitWait. Don’t lose your cool, don’t assume the worst, don’t jump to conclusions. Don’t throw in the towel and say “God must have forgotten about me” or surrender to the idea that change is never coming or give up hope of ever falling in love or listen to the naysayers who want you to believe you’ll never find your way. WAIT. Breathe. Give things time to work out. Let God bring things to pass in His perfect timing, which is infinitely better than yours or mine. WAIT. And in the meantime, BELIEVE that you deserve the love and you deserve the new job and you deserve the baby and you deserve the dream come true and you deserve the breakthrough. And then WAIT. Some of the biggest and most beautiful miracles just take a little time.

I really needed that this morning! Only God knows how hard waiting has gotten for me. At one time I was doing good but when the wait took longer than I was willing to take, things got uneven. This was just a reminder to me that God has not forgotten about me! Thank you for this boost of Faith. It was much needed!

I’m 44 and waiting patiently. Have had my ups and downs and truly believe that there is a plan for everyone and their path in life. Faith, hope and confidence rather than cynicism is going to direct a person on their right path.

I saw a post that has been deleted but I would like to respond to it saying to the person who has prayed, believed, had faith and nothing happened. I get you. I do. I’ve lived it and continue to live it. But, have you thought perhaps you have been dreaming the wrong dream or maybe you placed your dream in a nice box exactly as you want, wrapped in the perfect paper and ribbons, and your disappointment overwhelms to only find it hasn’t arrived. My suggestion is to not box God in. Sometimes, I find, I make my dreams too exact. I’m a literal person. While there is nothing wrong and I encourage everyone to pray exactly as they feel, don’t limit God. Your dream is the beginning of a better dream. Let Him be the author and finisher of it. Trust Him to answer you in His perfect way for you and I promise, it will be so much better than you ever dreamed on your own and it will be wrapped in paper and ribbons that aren’t on any of our store bought shelfs. It will be God made just for you. A box full of blessings just for you which our finite minds can’t think of. Be patient, cry louder to Him and let it go. Ask Him to unwrap that box and take out the things you should not desire and fill it up with His blessings for you. Trust and wait….

And what do you have to say to those persons who patiently waited a hole life and they ended up alone without knowing what true love is without having a memory of someone who really cares? Is this what Gods plan is? Are not all these words and waiting a way to fill in the time only non to realize we are really alone and not seen realy? I would really love to get an answer which answer NO to my i security!!

I feel the same way as you..I’m 58 and still waiting..I was married a long time ago to a selfish unbeliver. I know that marriage is not the cure all….I work hard to be good enough to be the right person…fill up time with work caring for others voluntering…am grateful for those I work with but when the weekend comes or the end of the day am still alone …holidays I get ased to join families but feel forgotten the rest of the year. And still I know that’s not the real reason i’m here . I have a daughter who’s turned away from God. I know that’s where my focus needs to be…and the loneliness creeps in. Don’t give up…it helps to know someone else feels like me…I just don’t belive God would abandon us

I am not a religious person but I do believe in The Universe. I pray everyday and I have been waiting for a long time for a partner for a better life and for better things to happen to me. And sometimes I am tired of waiting. What should I do?

I came across this as I am in bed, crying my eyes out and asking God if He knows that I exist? Asking Him if He is ever going to do right by me, if ever He is going to come through for me. It feels like everybody else around me is getting all that they need except me, it feels like no one sees that I exist. This is doubt instilled in me by the devil. I know God hears me, sees me and knows that I exist because I wouldn’t have come across this. Thank you Mandy, thank you for the love and wisdom that God has put in you for His people for such as time as this. Continue being a vessel!!
