This week we are celebrating “National Princess Week” by getting in touch with our inner princess. I think a major bit of confusion we have to clear up is thinking that part of being a princess is being rescued by a prince. As women, we have to give up the notion that we are damsels in distress and remember that we are divas that impress! Falling in love with a handsome prince is one thing…waiting on one to “rescue” you is quite another. The problem with this idea is that it implies that our lives are something we need to be rescued FROM. Remember: Your “taken” life can’t be any more successful than your single life. Your story isn’t going to suddenly become a magical fairytale because a prince walks through the door if it wasn’t one BEFORE he walked through the door. Today: Get busy writing your OWN fairytale…and your Happily Ever After will find you. A REAL princess realizes that her life is full and happy and complete without a prince…and that a relationship is just another diamond in her already sparkling tiara.
