Dash of Sass: Relax.
I’m really trying to RELAX more in 2015. I tend to be a worst-case scenario, wring my hands, Chicken Little “the sky-is-falling” type of person. But what I’ve found in my years on this planet is that the worst case scenario that we fear so much rarely ever comes to pass. Life has a beautiful way of working out. Especially when we’re not gripping onto it with white knuckles of stress and worry and fear. So how about we make a pact to stop assuming and dreading the worst and what “could” happen and just expect the best and welcome what IS happening? Because what’s going to come is going to come, and we will face it when it does. Good or bad. But we might as well relax and enjoy life in the meantime…yes?
Yes
Hey Mandy….I m in love with ur writing…Seriously each and every piece of writing is just soo magical and relevant. So inspired with the thoughts.. thanks for making life so special and waay going….waiting for such amazing stuff 🙂
Love this!!! It is so true. I’m just like you, always thinking the worst case scenario. I need just enjoy what IS happening.
Yes! I’ll try to do the same
This calls to my spirit in a major way. Thanks for posting and sharing your moments of inspiration. They always come right on time for those that need it !
YES!! well said and i’m with ya, an attitude of gratitude paves the way for me….
So great! I was thinking the same thing lately and your dash of sass just pushed me to adopt a more relaxed and God trusting mentality. Thank you for continuing to be such an inspiration!
thank you for this! I’m going through an ugly custody battle with my ex husband and the stress and worry is literally making me sick. I know I need to let go and let God. Prayers would be greatly appreciated too!
God will see you through this.Pray for your ex no matter how hard.ive been through this ten years ago.daughter was nine.i got custody he had visitation every other weekend.most times he didnt show up.i think of all those years of stress.my child wants no contact with her father.i pray for him.keep a stable life for your child much as you can.
This is exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank You!
Yes 🙂 Thank you for reminding me….
Hi Mandy! Your books have been so inspirational to me as I go through my post college, what am I going to do now stage, which feels like it’s going on a few years longer than it should. I always imagined I would be married by now and didn’t take into consideration that God had different plans. I’m learning to trust Him and take this as a time to learn about myself and Him. Also, my hometown is Murfeesboro, too! I went to Riverdale then onto MTSU for teaching, never going that far from home because my family owned a couple of thrift stores in town. It’s so neat to read about someone who’s made it big from the Boro! 🙂 thanks so much for all you write! God bless! 🙂
Mandy, how did you first start to let go and eventually move on?
Yes and I am with you working on it.
yeeeeeees…let us enjoy life…just as it is…the next…will be the next…i looov ths
So very true but so much easier said than done! How do you let go of something that you want so bad? All I’ve ever prayed for is a husband and a family. Now I’m trying to turn it over to God more and more, but how do you just let it be? I love all the encouragement Mandy! I’m so glad I found your Facebook page!
This is so much eAsier said than done. But I’m willing to try. For the past two weeks I’ve been extremely stressed and feeling hopeless. So I’m taking this pact with you. I’m going to learn to just relax and enjoy the moment.
Work on being happy and hopeful being single.when you do this and stay.focused on God and doing your purpose the man will come.what if the man for you saw you and you were lookin sad hopeless and dejected?:)
well said. I have practiced this a couple of times and it works
yes it is true .we think about things that may NEVER happen,we over anilize situations .conjure up thoughts that shouldn’t exsist. relaxing in the new year (if only in our minds) sounds like a plan to me girl. thanks
Yes!! I am all for it!!
Yes!! Same here! 😀
This is just what I needed to hear! I’ve got so much good stuff going on, I can’t help but worry something might go wrong.
Definitely speaks to my resolution to focus on ALL aspects of my health, especially the emotional part. Glad to know I’m not in it alone!
